Moar journal randomness!

Thu Dec 10, 2009, 5:08 PM
Hello all!

Not much to say, just more apologising for not really being that active. Will hopefully get some more work up in the not too distant future, but! I have stacks of university work, actual work and, y'know, the whole christmas thing going on right now. Bare with me please.

What to add to this...
Ahah, Assassin's Creed. Started playing it awhile back and completed it. Loved it. I love it so much i'm considering getting a PS3 in order to play the second installment, however, i'll hopefully just be able to hold on for a few months and keep some money for other use.

New music to listen to? Well, music of the past few months anyways:
- Calvin Harris - Ready For The Weekend [Electro] (2009)
- Sub Focus - Sub Focus [Electro/ D&B](2009)
- Them Crooked Vultures - Them Crooked Vultures [Rock/Metal](2009)
- Matrix and Futurebound - Universal Truth [D&B/ Liquid Funk](2007)
- L.A.O.S. - Single track; Beautiful [D&B/ Liquid Funk](2008)
- Chase & Status - Single tracks; Believe; Call to Prayer; Love's Theme
- Queens of the Stone Age - Know One Knows (Unkle Remix)

That is all! : )

An update?!

Fri Aug 28, 2009, 2:08 PM
I did a painting! Shock. Horror.

I've nearly finished a piece of digital art. Shock. HORROR.

So much i want to do, alas, it's going to be the start of my second year of university sooner than later. I have lots of ideas for space babes, action heroes, portraits and scenery; wonder how much i'll manage to do with the work i've got at the moment. Trying to earn a little extra moolah so i can start buying some books for uni and a few little bits and bobs; a Samurai Champloo box set; an SD card for my Zen X-Fi. Oh and lots of music.
D&B. Nu:Tone. Commix. London Elektricity. Chase & Status. Sub Focus.

Have fun y'all.

THUNDER.

Yeah, listening to BBC Radio One's Annie Mac's Mash Up, for those of you who don't know what it is, listen on Fridays, 9-11PM, UK time.

Seeing as my old journal is slightly out of date, i thought i'd update it!

Finished my first year of University the other week, i'm no longer a fresher, i miss that! After my first year i've achieved three First level grades which i'm pretty pleased with; i think i'll get even better next year... It seems... Inevitable!

And, WOW, i've started painting again (hah, that WOW was in time with the lyrics of the song!). Today i started and about half finished a painting of a lovely lady some perfume lovers might recognise; my aim for the summer is to paint as much as i can and get my work out there! Recently went to see my old art teacher and she is still annoyed with me for not taking Art at uni, but helpful nonetheless. She reviewed some of the work that i've done since i left school and discussed exhibitioning with me. Was lovely : )

--Uneducation--

Bought Sims 3 and PokéMon Platinum recently and they do not disappoint. Sims 3 has such amazing details and the whole expanded city is a great idea, makes having larger families more worthwhile in my opinion.
PokéMon Platinum was purchased for the main reason that is has a long life and an extended storyline/bonus features to its Diamond and Pearl predecessors (Diamond which i actually have). Gonna have lots of fun with this and then might get back into online play (am disappointed to find out Garchomp is on the uber list though, wrecks my team plan).
Been getting back into Age of Empires 3 again recently and cannot remember expert mode being so challenging, i've had to resort to cowering in the shallows of hard mode. When i get back on form i'll play that online again aswell : D

So, painting, gaming, oh and loads of reading to do. Will be a fun summer.

Random updates! Second edition.

Tue May 5, 2009, 3:36 PM
After what seems like a few months of University life, the first year is nearly over! The exclamation isn't a good shock either, it's more of an "OH NOES" exclamation.

All i have left now is two weeks of uni', consisting of four days of lectures and one module fair (to decide what modules i'll be taking next year). Work-wise, i have one group presentation (for Monday), a 2000 word essay (the following Monday) and one exam (first of June).

I'm going to miss my university friends so much when our extra long summer time rolls around. Very much infact.

On chirpy news, still collecting an assortment of Firsts and 2:1s in my degree, which i think, for a first year, is pretty good.

AND OFF WORK.

Recently i was introduced to Starcraft, a game which many of my friends (and certain Nations) rave about, despite it's ... well... oldness. The game has such an interesting story line, but the old graphics make me want to vomit and rage, so, i'm looking forward to the Starcraft 2 release!

Talking of new releases; films of 2009! So many films that look amazing to me. So far we've had The Spirit, Watchmen etc and to come we have Wolverine, Terminator Salvation, Harry Potter 6, Star Trek... Oh... *dribbles*. On top of that, has anybody heard of an upcoming animé/film called Cencoroll? I've seen a couple of trailers for it and the style of animation and music really have hooked me in already. The setting looks rather interesting aswell.

Artwork!
Hmmm... What artwork? Recently i've finished a couple of pencil portraits (alas waiting for my dad to get funds for a decent scanner (he insists on buying it)) so you'll see them at some point in the future. I've made quite a few Photoshop sketches aswell and have so many ideas popping out of my head- I just don't have the time to finish them.

Now, my Zen has finished synchronising (need to get an SD card for it D: ) so i bid you an early goodnight!
