This had been 8 days in the making; and by days i mean 6-8 hours per day.
The image itself is done in oil paints and spread over an A1 canvas (With about 5cm taken off each side, hence the blank patches on the edges).
Inspiration came from a photo i took whilst on my holiday in New York last year and the reason to do it is because it's a final piece for one of my A-Level art courseworks. The style comprises of several artists i've studied (Most notably the simplified human figures in the style of Lowry (Although the project is based on 'Street Scenes' and buildings)).
I'm really glad it's finished now and i might take a day off tomorrow... Before i launch into my exam work for art. Yay/yawn.
